Values

FOR THE CORPORATION

Our museum represents Valparaíso as a cultural, port, maritime, university and heritage city, giving the community not only local, but from all over the country and the world, a place to find artistic works of the highest quality, with an integral view of the formation of the territory. We offer a very satisfactory experience to those who visit us, since we have a quality team, and are especially concerned with universal access.

Cultural tourism

OBJECTIVES

We are a cultural device of the city, with an important offer of quality attached services such as: guided tours, workshops, teacher training, temporary exhibitions, shop and coffee, which boost tourism and contribute to improving the quality of life for the population, revitalizing the artistic activities and creative industries that are currently in the neighborhood of the hills Alegre and Concepción.

Community

OBJECTIVES

The Museum is built on community and thanks to the collaboration of many people and entities. The institutional alliances allow it to expand its scope of influence, contributing and building from different views and specialties, for the enhancement of the national pictorial heritage.

Education

OBJECTIVES

We are a non-formal educational resource, generating the process of audience formation with children, youths and adults, delivering conceptual tools for the appreciation and evaluation of visual arts, linked to different theme units established by the MINEDUC for its study programs, both in middle and high school education.

Inclusion

OBJECTIVES

All the actions developed by the Museum have a clear seal of diversity and inclusion, and seek universal accessibility, gender equity, respect and integration of all communities.

Decentralization

OBJECTIVES

Aware that the greatest cultural offer is concentrated in the regional capital, we consider it important to reach the entire region and for this we develop a territorial decentralization program, taking temporary exhibitions, workshops, and activities, to different places, from public schools, to penitentiaries and hospitals.
